St. Patty's Day

Frank learned a little bit about St. Patrick's Day at preschool this year. Sometimes ignorance is bliss...

So we had to celebrate. Most of our festivities revolved around food. (What in my life does NOT revolve around food?) I was a bit curious about what would happen because of Frank's special "No Green or Red Food" rule. I knew he had made exceptions in the past, primarily involving candy, but I wasn't sure what dyed food would do for him.

The green pancakes were acceptable, as was the green yogurt. Green milk, however, was totally rejected. He wouldn't even taste a single sip.

We also made green jello beans (I have a mold to make little bean shaped jigglers) and for dessert after dinner, we had green milkshakes.

It was fun. Maybe next year we'll decorate too.

  3. I see that you took the plunge after all. I'm sorry that I totally talked to you on your birthday and didn't even tell you Happy Birthday. What a bum friend I am. That cake was very cool.

We did a whole lot of nothing on St. Patrick's Day...though we did manage to wear green.

Thanks for the strawberry shortcake last night...
