This morning, as I was getting Elise her breakfast, she requested Lucky Charms. I got a bowl out and grabbed the box. I was about to pour when she looked at me, all concerned like, and said, "No cereal please." I was a little confused. Had she not just requested cereal? Did she change her mind?
Then she clarified: "Just marshmellows, no cereal please."
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It all makes sense now.
For the record, I did not serve her Lucky Charms marshmellows for breakfast.

Ahh, Lucky Charms. I've pretty much stopped buying them because Jack is an all marshmallow guy. I've switched to Apple Jacks because he loves the name.
ReplyDeletenice. at least she asked in a nice way...
ReplyDeleteKate calls them "yucky charms" but make no mistake, she loves them.
I remember feeling like Elise on this matter. Okay, so I still strongly identify with her.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for increasing my cultural awareness with the Muse tunes. They've got that wonderful over-the-top melodrama for which I can be a total sucker when it's executed well. I like tracks 1, 2, and 4; I'm not loving on tracks 5 and 6 as much; and I think "Resistance" is fabulous, despite the "it could be wrong" chants. So based on my limited exposure, despite it being far more techo-ish than my taste generally runs, Muse is thumbs up for me. You'd think it would inspire better cheesy vampire romance.
Even little Taylor has figured out the marshmallow part. You should see her face when I hand her the cereal part in church, are you kidding me mom. Last week in church Stockton yelled out, "how about I get the marshmallows and Taylor gets the other!", I had to kind of give in so he would be quiet.
ReplyDeleteOH COME ON!
