Belated Vacation Post

So we went on vacation like a month ago. It was really fun. We all had a great time. The drive down was a million times less painful than I thought it was going to be. Our hotel was close enough to walk to Disneyland easily. It wasn't very crowded. We had a great time. We hit Legoland too. I liked Legoland, but I don't necessarily recommend going to both places on the same trip. Or maybe just go to Legoland first. Anyhow, here are a few pictures from our little trip. I didn't take very many pictures (comparitively speaking). And mostly I have pictures of Elise standing in line (doing weird things to entertain ourselves). Most of the lines weren't long, but that darn Peter Pan ride seems to always have a long line no matter what. And of course, the line to meet the precious princesses is long. I swore I wouldn't wait in line to meet the princesses, but after Elise spotted Snow White from afar and wanted to chase her down just to say hello, well, I caved. We spent about an hour in line to meet three princesses, and then a couple days later spent 45 minutes waiting to meet Tinkerbell and her friends. Elise said it was worth it, but she didn't want to wait in line to meet them again. At least she has a little perspective. We happened to be at Disneyland on Mother's Day, kind of by accident. That day also happened to be the unofficial "Goth" day. I have never seen so many gothic people in one place in my life. There was quite a variety. Very exciting. I should have taken some pictures of the more creative get-ups, but I just didn't care enough I guess. Anyway, the pictures. I've selected 9 of my favorites, and I am not going to bother to edit or crop, so you get what you get.

Proof that Frank was there.  We split up quite a bit, so I don't have very many pictures of Frank or Aaron.  Really, 90% of the pictures are Elise.




This is just a silly picture.  The sun was setting, and I didn't have a flash, so it's a little fuzzy.  I have a whole series of silly faces exactly like this, while we spent 30 minutes waiting for the Peter Pan ride.

We went to see the ocean briefly.  Frank whined and whined about it.  Aaron practically had to drag him across the beach.  When I did finally coax him into the water, he loved it and ended up totally wet.  We had a great time goofing off in the waves together.  Made me wish we had worn our swimsuits.  I wasn't very warm though, so we didn't.  It was fun anyway, and next time we go, I'm definitely going to plan more ocean time.
