I really was put out by this dance recital thing. All the extra dance practices and dress rehersals and everything were really getting to me. I felt like I was spending so so much time doing dance things. I think I was extra annoyed because on Tuesday, Frank's birthday, I pretty much spent all day doing things for Elise's dance recital. I spent the morning putting curlers in her hair, I spent the afternoon at the dress rehersal, and then the performance was at 7, but I had to be there with Elise by 6:15. So not only was I ignoring Frank most of the day, but I also made him sit through most of an annoying dance rehersal. Then after all that, we had to do it again the next day (minus the dress rehersal) Anyway, I wasn't really feeling it.
But darn Elise, she always makes me change my views. She was thrilled to perform on the "Big Stage", as she called it. She loved everything about it. She loved the costume, she loved the fancy hair (though not everyday, she said), she LOVED the make up. Anyway, it makes her happy, so I guess I'll just not complain and do what I need to do. Here are the pictures I took. Nothing spectacular, of course. And of course, most of them could really use some editing. I usually use Photoshop to edit, but my version of Photoshop is not compatible with my new computer, and I haven't cared enough to go buy a new version of Photoshop. So there's my excuse.

The recital was "fun", and Elise loved performing. So I guess we'll have to do it again next year.
