I spent all day Saturday cleaning my room. It seriously took all day. It was starting to get to the point where there was barely a path to walk through it. If you've been there before, you know what I'm talking about, and if you haven't been there before, you probably think I am disgusting now. Cleanliness is not one of my better qualities.
During the process of cleaning my room, I decided it was high time I tackled "the box". "The box" has been my filing system for the past 2+ years. Here's how it works: if it seems like a piece of paper I should keep, it gets thrown in "the box." I have had to scrounge through it a couple of times over the past two years, but I was always able to find what I was looking for in a reasonable amount of time. So now I have to ask myself if the time spent organizing and properly filing things is worth the effort, when my two year experiment with chaos seems to have gone remarkably well. I'm still on the fence. I think I'll at least invest in a plastic storage container and get rid of the cardboard.
p.s. I applied for Dixie College today. It's open enrollment, so I don't think I'll get rejected. Anyone out there think I can handle 15 credit hours my first symmester back? Yikes!
p.p.s. I just found out today that Dixie College is often in need of adjunct math professors to teach their lower division math classes (part time). The only requirement is a Bachelors Degree in math. Why did I not know this six years ago? I would have been doing that this whole time!?!

Wait, why don't you just teach college math then, and skip the secondary ed certificate?
ReplyDeleteSo you can go to school, or you can teach school. Hmm. Personally, I'd go for the one that puts money IN your pocket.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't have a box, I have a basket here, envelopes there, and piles everywhere. I need to organize that somehow; let me know how it goes.
