Macaroni and cheese

For the Brickey family reunion this year, we stayed at a cabin near Glendale. On Thursday we went to Bryce Canyon. We went on the hike that begins at Sunset point. Frank and Elise were great little hikers. The highlight of the hike, for me, was when Elise told me the rocks looked like macaroni and cheese. While it's not something I would have thought of on my own, I can't help but agree: there is a resemblance. Especially if you are (almost) two and haven't had your favorite food in three days.

And here is our most successful attempt at a family photo. In case you couldn't tell, Frank is unhappy about being photographed.

Unfortunately, I didn't get my camera out much during the reunion. Ever since I forsook scrapbooking, I forget to take pictures. So without further photographic evidence, you'll just have to believe me that a good time was had by all.

p.s. Megan, I didn't really forsake scrapbooking. It's just that you stopped being my cropping partner and I can't do it on my own. So I hope you accept some personal responsibility in all this...

  1. Way to pass on the blame. I hope your kids forgive you in ten years when they ask you why there is no record of their childhood! (Just kidding . . . I'm the kind who has thousands of pictures and no books to show for it!)

  3. I think that family picture is fantastic and deserves a place of honor in at least 16 x 20.

  4. I got the feeling that you no longer wanted a crop partner...you have to know I'm always willing!
