I know no one cares about this stuff, but I'm just sort of venting it out of my system. It makes me feel better. So there.
I'm sort of living and breathing math right now, which is exciting to me, and boring to most other people. I have reviewed LOTS of algebra (the appendix on synthetic division was riveting), but so far haven't really ventured into the geometry/trig area of study. I also haven't reviewed calculus yet, since I thought I'd save the best for last. Even so, I thought it might be beneficial to take a practice test and see how I'm doing so far.
The test is scored on a mostly ridiculous scale from 100 to 200, with no penalty for guessing, and questions are weighted according to difficulty. Whatever. I know enough statistics to know that is a bunch of voodoo. Voodoo score calculations aside, there are 50 multiple choice questions. No one can really tell you how many questions you need to answer correctly to pass, due to aforementioned voodoo-score-calculation-method. Anyway, long story short, I got 41 out of 50 on my practice test, which seems pretty good to me. Statistics/Probability Theory is my nemesis (nemesii?). I seriously don't care about the probability of pulling 3 kings and 2 queens out of a deck of well shuffled cards. I guess if I gambled I might care. Anyway, other than the Hateful stats/prob thing, I really only missed a couple of calculus/geometry problems. I'm feeling pretty good about everything, since I haven't reviewed them yet, and still have five weeks to study those areas. Math is cool.

you're making me yearn for math study. I almost pulled out my pre-calculus book today and started doing problems for fun. you're going to rock that test. Did you look up the Mr. Bean sketch yet? it's on Netfli,x if you have that. it's on one of the first episodes, I think.
