Finally got my results back today...
187.
Ha ha.
Guess all the studying paid off. I only missed 2 of the 50 questions. My score report says the average performance range was 129-160.
On Sunday, my brother-in-law was kind of making fun of me (not in a mean way), saying that I should learn to let things slide a little, and not be such a hyperactive-over-achiever-perfectionist. At the time, I agreed with him. It seems like it would make life easier to skate by instead of insisting on being at the top. However, today has reminded me why I am the way I am. I like being the top. It's my own sort of drug-free high. I have almost no competitive streak, except academically, so I might as well just go with it, right? It seems to work out for me.
On a more pathetic note: The state of Utah only requires a 138 score to be licensed to teach math. Most states require a higher passing score to grant a license. Kind of sad, huh?

Good job, babe. And yes, that standard is a little sad. I have a friend who got her degree in Home Ec, and taught that for a couple of years before her school drafted her into teaching Math. Yeah. Nothing against her, but I'd much rather have you teaching my kid. I still tell people about my old roommate who completed a degree in Math without a graphing calculator. You're awesome, Shelly.
