I just got off the phone with a guy who found my phone. We were trying to figure out where we could meet up so I could get the phone. Only problem: he's in Cedar City. He found my phone laying on the road in two pieces (not broken though) in Cedar City. How in the world did that happen? I think I must have left it in my car, and someone stole it. This disturbs me for a couple of reasons.
#1 I never lock my car. Maybe I should?
#2 The car was parked at my house when it was stolen. Therefore there are thief people around my house. I don't like that very much.
#3 It was a piece of crap cheap phone sitting in a piece of crap car. Why would anyone steal it? It had no value, for pete's sake!
I guess lesson learned: lock my car and don't leave stuff in it. I'm just super happy that I will (eventually) be getting the phone back. He'll be in this area next week, so I'll have to wait until then to be reunited with my contact list. I guess it's kind of a miracle that I'll be getting it back at all!

It is, indeed! I had a similar miracle with the crappy cruise ship cell phone, which would have cost $250 to replace. Some good Samaritain found in a cab in Puerto Vallarta and returned to me. I was incredibly grateful.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything else missing from your car? Hope not. Glad that you'll get your phone back at least! We left our garage open one night on accident and Merril's road bicycle and a welder was stolen. The police tracked it down to a band of roaming thieves. They didn't live around here, they just roamed neighborhoods at night and looked for open cars or garages. Hope you get your phone back soon.
