test anxiety

Last night we had pack meeting, and without getting into too much detail, Frank came home with a clothes pin.  As he was getting into bed, he told me that it was lucky.  I was a little confused about why the clothes pin he brought home from pack meeting was lucky, so I asked him about it.  He said he tried to give it to Elise, but she gave it back to him, so now it is lucky.  That explains so much.
Anyway, this morning he couldn't find it, and was very worried about it.  I told him we could look for it after school (since we are always running late in the morning).  He said that would be okay, but we had to make sure to find it before Friday.  Again, confused.  Why in the world do we have a deadline for finding a clothes pin?  He said he needed to find the lucky clothes pin before his weekly assessment on Friday.  My seven year old has test anxiety!  That makes me a little sad.  Kids shouldn't have to be stressed out about their silly weekly assessment.  But at the same time, I'm glad he cares enough about his school performance to want to do well.  So should I be sad or glad?
