Tonight at dinner, we were discussing Inspector Gadget, and how amazingly cool he is. (How cool are dinner conversations with children?) The conversation quickly went south.
Aaron: "Inspector Gadget is awesome, but not as awesome as your dad."
Frank: "Umm, you're not awesome, you're silly."
Aaron: "Well, what if I had a Bugatti Veyron, then would I be awesome?"
Frank: "No, the car would be awesome. You would still be silly."
Props to Frank for discerning the difference between a cool person and a cool possession.

Indeed--props to Frank. Even I have a hard time distinguishing between the two sometimes.
