By some small miracle, we have survived the past 3 days. There were moments of extreme boredom, a few small fights over whose turn it was to turn off the TV, and occasional binges on sweets, but we made it through the three school-less pre-Christmas days.
I have to admit, I'm a little bit scared for a three month long school-less summer. I'm fairly certain our only salvation will be the great outdoors. So three cheers for hiking, parks, swimming, and other outdoor activities (which we unfortunately cannot participate in during winter vacation).

seriously what did we do before they started school? I mean, I know there were moments of tedium, but I did not dread the day after day with my kids like I do now that they're of school age. We need to get the kids together this week!
