Frank and Aiden were at each others throats all day. I tried to get them to watch a movie after lunch because, well, it was obvious that they were not feeling the happy vibes today. However, Frank replied, "I don't want to watch TV!" Ummm, who are you and what have you done with the real Frank. Frank doesn't say things like that. He spends a significant portion of his day begging to watch TV. So my easy out was a no go.
We made slime instead. When in doubt, make a mess.

A little later, Frank and Aiden had a brief bout of friendship, and they formed a rock band, complete with weird 80's inspired head bands. For good measure, they recruited Isaac and Elise to be groupies. The dance moves were fierce. Elise and Isaac decided to flash the band. Things got a little wild.

And now, I'm feeling better. No need to go into all the tor tur es of the day. I won't bore you with all the various liquids I've cleaned up today. We won't talk about the fights I had to break up. And I will especially not mention the messy state of my house, because honestly, if I spent less time reading my house would probably be spotless. Speaking of reading, I've got a hot date with a book. (But not too hot because it's nonfiction.)
your crazy days look a lot more fun than mine. there ought to be an exchange program in place for days when the kids are driving you nuts. Send them over here, then they'll realize how good they've got it at your house!

ReplyDeleteSo, I guess I deleted any way what I meant to say was... When in doubt form a band! Too awesome! I think I'm going to get on here for ideas of things I can do with my kids.
ReplyDeleteOK, so my slime didn't turn out all that great. It never really lost it's chunky vomit consistancy, and it's been too soon since actual vomit has been a reality in my home to keep mixing until it became slime. It was just a little too close to home. Alex was dissapointed. We will try again.
