Happy Birthday Puppy!

So yesterday, Frank & Aiden informed me that today is Puppy's birthday. They decided that they wanted to throw a party for Puppy. I deliberated briefly, and then decided, why not? So the boys made invitations and planned a couple of games. After much heated deliberation, a cactus theme was chosen. My only job was to provide some cupcakes.

From the moment they got off the bus, all I heard was,"When will the guests arrive?" Seriously. Where do they get that sort of language?

The guests arrived at 2:30. The first game was to pop balloons. Aiden was the big winner.

Elise is playing pin the arm on the cactus. We had to use the honor system for closing eyes because I didn't want to walk upstairs to get a blindfold

Aiden is modeling a cactus pose. The other games were "punch the cactus" (in other words hit a picture of a cactus that Frank drew and taped to the wall), and my personal favorite "don't touch the cactus". To win this game, the participant had to not touch a picture of a cactus taped to the wall. I want to emphasize that these were two seperate pictures, one to "not touch" and one to "punch". Anyone who managed to not touch the cactus won a small box of nerds.

Then Puppy opened his presents. As you can tell, he was really surprised and excited.

We had cupcakes, which were cactuses on top, and the cupcakes themselves were colorful, like tie dye.

Now Puppy is three years old. How time flies...

As a side note, I would like to add that I am completely unsure how Puppy's age was determined. Puppy was originally a gift from one of my friends to Elise. However, Frank immediately latched on to him, and Elise was too young to know any better. Puppy was lost approximately seven months ago at the doctors office. After three emotional days, I hoped on the internet, and after much research, was able to acquire a new Puppy for only $20 including shipping, which was a total rip off, and yet totally worth it because Frank was really really emotional over the whole thing. But don't tell him it's a new Puppy. He thinks it's the same original Puppy, that we somehow managed to find after a week of being lost. Good times.

  1. Benji has a soft puppy like that, although I have no idea how old he is. But then, I bought him for $1 at a consignment sale. Hee, hee.
