The stuff that was on my camera.

I don't take very many pictures. But here are a few from the past two weeks or so. This is as close to a "Christmas post" as I will get.

Elise's method of choice for eating cake: smear all the frosting onto her hands and lick it off. Discard cake. (Frank has a similar method.)
Frank asking Santa for a mini Lightning McQueen toy for Christmas. I had to make an emergency trip to Target the next day.
We did a lot of "activities" while we waited for Christmas to arrive. The Christmas Eve reading of the Christmas story. Frank didn't want to participate. His exact statement: "Ohhh, I hate reading stories about Jesus." It's so gratifying when your kids say stuff like that. (Sarcasm comes across clearly on the internet, right?) Frank was told that if he was unable to listen respectfully to the story, he would not get any presents. Thankfully, in this instance, common sense won out, and he listened.
Christmas pajamas. My children can be difficult to photograph at times. Frank was playing this silly little "timber game." Basically, I had until he "timbered" to take the picture, or tough luck to me. I barely caught him before he fell over this time.
And finally, I think I have told a couple of people about my super duper shmuper big idea: making dress up clothes in a sort of apron pattern. Basically, they are "fronts" that velcro on at the neck and back. I tried it out with some fabric I had sitting around. First I tried a simple little dress. Then I pulled out the big guns and tried to make a doctor. It turned out pretty well. I still need to buy some velcro to finish them up, and some buttons on the doctor one. Also Elise is requesting that I put a name tag that says "Doctor Elise." I'm definitely going to make a few more. They are pretty darn simple to make, and Elise seems really happy with them. The doctor one has pockets to hold all her various doctor tools. I have a few more varieties in mind. Frank is also requesting a train driver and something (race car driver?) with a giant number 51 on the front. We'll see if I ever get around to that. At any rate, they are fairly quick to make, and the possibilities seem endless. I guess before I make too many more I should see if Elise ever wears them...
